Efterklang - ‘Sedna’

Owen Pallett - ‘Song for Five & Six’

St. Vincent - ‘Prince Johnny’

San Fermin - ‘The Count’

Live on KEXP

10,000 Maniacs - ‘Because the Night’

Patti Smith - ‘Gloria’

Olga Bell - ‘Stavropol Krai’

Olga Bell’s new album ‘Krai’ is a 12-person song cycle about nine frontier territories in Russia. This is the only piece I’ve heard from it so far, but it’s enough to get me excited for the rest.

The whole album is streaming right now on NPR.music. I’d recommend giving it a listen, whether or not you’ve been a fan of her previous work.

Kelis - ‘Rumble’

Eels - ‘Where I’m From’

Cate Le Bon - ‘No God’

Cate Le Bon is like if Joanna Newsom had been the lead singer of The Velvet Underground. And if some how she knew Welsh. I first became aware of her through a collaboration she did with hometown favorite Perfume Genius. Since then, I’ve been steadily making my way through her back catalog, and I must say I’ve been impressed with what I’ve heard.
